Program Overview
The Home Energy Conservation Program is designed to help homeowners in Ontario reduce their energy consumption and save money on their utility bills. By participating in this program, you can receive significant rebates for making energy-efficient improvements to your home.
How It Works
To qualify for the rebates, you must first have a home energy assessment performed by a certified energy advisor. They will provide you with a list of recommended upgrades. Once you complete at least two of the recommended upgrades, you will have a follow-up assessment to verify the improvements and process your rebate.
Eligible Upgrades
Common eligible upgrades include attic insulation, basement insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, high-efficiency furnaces, and energy-efficient windows and doors.
Maximum Rebate
Homeowners can receive up to $5,000 in total rebates, plus an additional $600 to cover the cost of the energy assessments.
